DFB Scanner
The DFB Scanner is an interrogator that acts as a spectrometer working in reflection for the wavelength tunability of ITU Grid Channel #43. The embedded DFB laser - centered at 1542.94 nm - enables spectrum measurement at extreme resolutions, beating the classical OSA (Optical Spectrum Analyzer) by a mile. One type of fiber demonstrating the power of the DFB Scanner is the PS-FBG (Phase-Shifted Grating) where a narrow notch is hard to perceive with low resolution spectrometers. With the DFB Scanner, the depth of the notch will display deeper than ever.

DFB Scanner 

The DFB Scanner offers a graphical user interface adapted
to Windows-based OS computers or laptops. It is thus a 
separate component of the spectrometer kit. As being hosted
by a PC, it allows easy data manipulation, sharing and storing.
A spectrometer that capitalizes on the 0.1 nm resolution capability of the DFB laser.
